jumbo cream pots tutorial

This is going to be a quick tutorial of how i melted down my Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencils into small jars. One because i wouldnt lose product everytime i would go to sharpen them. And two...i hate sharpening them and then getting stabbed in the eye or whatever by the sharp ass wood, plastic or whatever the hell the use to make it.
Materials Needed:
hair dryer
jumbo eye pencil
storage jars (found at craft stores)
Pliers

Your going to need to take your pliers and twist off the non-sharpened end of the pencil, once you do that you should have a hole or opening, that you can see through sort of. Once you have your end twisted off you are going to take your pliers and hold the top of that end down with one hand, Holding it over the inside of one of your jars.

Then once you pretty much hold the blow dryer over the end of the pencil and turn it on the highest setting. DO NOT TOUCH IT BECAUSE IT WILL GET CRAZY HOT.
The Product should eventually melt down into your jar, if not force it out. I had to do so by well..blowing and forcing air through because there was still so much left. Once you have all of it out it should look like so..

Set it aside and let it cool down for a few minutes and your Done...PIECE OF CAKE!!

i am now..

It's Alot of Information and my tiny brain is soaking it all in like a sponge. But i cant help but wait til the day im no longer working as a dog groomer. I also applied for mac's student program and got accepted so i am looking forward to that, i feel like everything is moving in a positive direction as of right now.....just hope to keep it that way..

This year so far in a nutshell..

Ive been gone for a extremely long time on my blog and frankly i havent been feeling in the mood to blog about to much of anything. This year and this blog was suppose to be filled with tons of exciting things and this year...has been well lacking in that dept. Earlier this year i was in a really bad car accident, which i escaped unharmed barely. Which totaled my car completely....so i had to 2months later invest in a brand new car. Which i like but at the same time...its kicking my ass in payments each month, because my credit isnt tooo great the payments are pretty much double what my last car payment is. But some how i am managing to barely make.

Convention wise all the plans of going to all these conventions earlier this year, have all pretty much been cancelled. So far this year i have been to 3 cons, Katsucon which is my favorite. Animazement which was lame as hell. and Otakon...where i completely loath that city and its ppl entirely sooo there hasnt been any reason to blog. Costume wise...i think i have only managed to push out a total of what...maybe 5 new costumes this entire effing year for myself. Which last year i exceeded that number i am sure.
* Uniform/transformation scanty -panty and stocking
*Bodysuit-Klan klang macross frontier
*Setsuka-Soul Calibur 4
*Transformation Panty-Panty and Stocking with garterbelt...
I'm currently working on  3 more costumes for myself but until they are completely finished then i dont really count those.
After about 10 years i have finally decided what i think i want to do for my career, that i think i will be happier then where i am at now. So i am going back to school for Esthetics. So i can have a license to do Makeup and work somewhere where the atmosphere is less shitty. I will learn about skin basically and do waxing , facials all that jazz. The only fear i had at first was having to do the bikini waxing on ppl. But...now i will do whatever it takes to just make whatever money is necessary for 15mins of my time. Not 8.5hrs...plus if i have to squeeze dog butts everyday to express there anal glands then waxing ppl bits to me isnt nearly as bad.
I am starting to somewhat build a portfolio of all the makeup i do on other ppl and maybe myself. Which should be hopefully larger if i keep it up. My plan is to have my own business doing makeup once i am officially certified. To be my own boss and make my own hours.
Other then all of that i am trying to prepare for classes starting in oct. as well as work on costumes and stuff for AUSA the last con of the year. And other changes...

Setsuka oh, how i hate you...

The title pretty much describes my true feelings, When i decided to do this costume i was so excited at first, b/c setsuka is soo bad ass and all. I was pretty much like GREAT this is going to be awesome i have all the stuff to complete it at home so i dont have to buy to much at all and it shouldn't take that long.....Nope didnt go that way at all. The first attempt for trying to gradient dye using actually dye on my perfectly good kimono completely failed so i had to pretty much start back over and make a New kimono, using a new technique.

My new way of going about this gradient dye was pretty much wetting down sections of the new kimono with water and painting sections with acrylic paint.
Once that was done i began the tedious never ending task of Painting cherry blossoms, and painting...and painting and more painting. Also there is some phoenix/Dragon in the middle of it i also had to add.

i eventually didnt like how my bird thing turned out and added more gold and expanded the branches. Once i got all that done i moved on to the sleeves and collar. Once they were both finished i attached all the gold trim and everything else thus completing the kimono part.
More pics to come later..

haitus

Katsucon has came and gone and i have been gone for a long time from posting like i want to. Alot has happened  in my personal life so im just now getting motivated to work on things again and post again. I also didnt get a chance to make it to I.M.A.T.S. this year and now listening to some of the makeup guru's that i follow i guess its a good thing i did seeing alot of vendors like Mac and Makeup Forever were no show. But now i am preparing stuff for Animazement which is in May. Not only am i making things for myself which are two costumes maybe 3 if i really wanna kill myself, but i am also making things for friends which include Ivy from Soul Calibur and a partial Kneesocks Uniform from Panty and Stocking. Im also in the midst of trying to get a new car this Thursday so wish me good luck *crosses fingers*. Im going to upload some photos of my Soul Calibur cosplay soon so keep a look out.

Mini E.L.F.Makeup haul

So i recently purchased a few E.L.F cosmetics online, this past Christmas and i received them. So figured i would do a mini haul.First up we have the
E.l.f. High definition Powder :
creates a soft focus effect to the skin and masks fine lines and imperfections for a radiant complexion." Sounds exciting! The powder itself looks white but applies sheer and I plan to test it as a setting powder for my foundation.

Price: $6.00 and as you can see you don't get a full product, which is kinda disappointing. Im interested to see though if i can tell the product says what it does.

Next is the Mineral Booster:
Achieve the ultimate, translucent "photo finishing touch" to your makeup, our Mineral Booster melts into your skin, infusing it with key vitamins A, B and E to promote healthier skin that’s noticeably silkier and smoother. Completely sheer and ideal for all skin tones, Mineral Booster gently absorbs oil and minimizes the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and pores for a beautiful even finish. Wear alone or buff over our Mineral Concealer and Foundation to lend extra staying power and to achieve a professional and stunning porcelain matte look that will last all day.

Price: $5.00

Moving onto the
Eye Transformer:(Left)
Convert your shadows into brand new shades with these four opalescent shadows. Wear alone, under, over or in combination with your other makeup. The opal tones transform your dark color into a new shimmering hue.

Price: $3.00
Complexion Perfection:(Right)

Create a balanced and radiant complexion that is beautiful and healthy. The lightweight formula evens out the skin tone and absorbs excess oil. The sheer formula brightens, mattes and neutralizes the skin. The colors are meant to be blended together as the Blue neutralizes orange, the Green neutralizes red, the Pink neutralizes grey and the Yellow brightens and neutralizes red.

Price: $5.00

and Finally
The Studio lip plumper and Primer

Achieve longer lasting lip color and sexy plumped lips. The Primer creates a base for lip color for no budge, no smudge pigment that lasts all day. The cinnamon scented Plumper enhances your lips with a subtle plumping tingle effect for fuller, larger looking lips.

Price $3.00
I mainly got this for the lip primer purposes and i have tested it out and it seems to work pretty darn good.
